The New Me… and a New Blog!

Hey there folks! It seems like forever ago that I wrote a blog…. oh wait! It has been forever ago since I’ve written a blog! 🙂 There’s just so much to talk about and catch people up on, I’m really not sure where to start with everything.

Well, first things first, let’s discuss the anxiety thing – There’s really nothing to say to this because the anxiety thing is completely gone. It’s like I don’t stress over the small stuff anymore like how I used to, I take things one step at a time and see what happens. I’ve found ways of coping with it and it’s hardly ever noticeable within my body now, unless I go to the doctor’s office…. lol 🙂 It’s true y’all, I have a phobia over doctors. The people in white coats make me anxious. Kinda sad, ain’t it??? Haha

How about the depression issues? This still exists within me, sadly. It’s a weird thing really because I’ll be completely fine one second and the next, I’ll be so sad and down in the dumps. I link it to hormonal issues, just the same as my anxiety crisis several years ago. I’m sure as the day’s, weeks, months, years go on, I’ll get much better with it and be able to snap out of that issue pretty quick when it comes on. I have found a way to help cope with this problem which is the third thing on here that I wanted to talk about.

I got so upset with how my body looked and how I felt all the time. I was very depressed and my confidence was nonexistent. I finally decided to make a change in myself shortly after turning 23 years old. So, I joined my local YMCA and started working out. I lost a total of 33 lbs and I’m trying to maintain this. I joined Kelsey Wells on the SWEAT app and that’s when my weight started coming off like crazy. This is the best I’ve ever felt in my whole life and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in this journey. I got so into my fitness lifestyle that I decided to start studying to become a personal trainer. My main goal for this year is to pass the exam and start getting good clientele. Then, shortly after getting my certification, I will start studying for the exam to become a life/health coach to help those who struggled like me. All of this is leading me to a very exciting announcement!

So, I’ve used this blog mainly to tell you guys about my biggest secrets and coping mechanisms for anxiety, depression, and confidence issues. I’m taking this blog to the next step and decided to turn this into a fitness/lifestyle blog spot. I will begin to post workouts that I do, delicious meals that I plan on fixing that are healthy, and hopefully lessons on how to meditate.

My goal for this blog is to help change someone’s life by helping you change your lifestyle. It’s a long, difficult process, but is very much rewarding when you start hitting your goals. I have no doubt in my mind that you can hit the goals that you set in your life, it’s just a matter of fact of doing the things that can help meet your goals. I will help you along with your journey by writing these blogs and hopefully videos on youtube.

I’m so excited about this new beginning for my blog spot and I hope you can get some use out of the articles I’ll be writing. Stay tuned for a newly rejuvenated blog!

  1. I have to admit, I got a little concerned when you started discussing weight loss, depression, and body image…but I was reassured when you wrote about fixing delicious and healthy meals. Eating well is essential!

And that’s your ‘grandma lecture; for today. Congratulations on this positive path! I know your blog will touch many people!
